Basque railway companies striving to export their services to the international market and be awarded new projects in the United Kingdom

In the Basque Country, the sector employs 7,200 people and invoices around €1.7 billion In the United Kingdom, private investment in the railway sector stood at £925,000 and government support totalled £4.2 billion, meaning it is an extremely important market for Basque companies The high technological level of Basque companies allows it to lead new challenges and tackle processes such as digitalisation and producing smart products ETS and Euskotren are driving public-private partnerships to foster value-added innovation projects Companies from the United Kingdom and the Basque Country are meeting in London to find new ways of working together, during the trade mission led by the Basque Government’s Minister for Economic Development and Infrastructures, Arantxa Tapia, who is accompanied by around twenty Basque companies.
