A delegation from Corsica is visiting the Directorate of Social Economy
- The meeting's agenda included a discussion of the social economy public policies currently in place in the Basque Country
This afternoon, Jokin Díaz Arsuaga, Director of Social Economy, welcomed a delegation from the Corsican government, led by Executive Councillor for Health Bianca Fazi, to the Basque Government headquarters in Lakua.
The Corsican delegation is interested in learning about the social economy public policies implemented in the Basque Country. They would like to know more about the Interdepartmental Strategic Plan for the Social Economy 2021-2024, which aims to boost employment by promoting business initiatives, training workers and improving the employability of groups at risk of exclusion. They would also like to learn more about the various aid programmes for the promotion and strengthening of social economy enterprises.
These policies demonstrate the Basque Government's dedication to the social economy as a catalyst for economic and social advancement. The meeting forms part of a visit by representatives of various institutions, the economy and health to the Basque Country. This visit coincides with the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Basque Country and Corsica in 2021, which aims to promote bilateral relations and collaborations.
