Launch of the call for 'Euroregional Innovation’ Projects

• €400,000 will be distributed to support projects in the strategic sectors of the Euroregion. The funds will be allocated to projects in the following strategic sectors: health, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, renewable energies, sustainable construction and creative and cultural industries.

The Euroregion is pleased to announce the launch of the 'Euroregional Innovation' project call, with a budget of €400,000 and an open deadline of 17 October 2024. The call’s objective is to promote projects and actors in six strategic and emerging sectors that align with the smart specialisation strategies (RIS4) of the three territories.

The call for projects, operating under the motto 'Cooperating to go further’, is designed to contribute to the development of a competitive Euroregional economy. The objective is to facilitate the implementation of collaborative projects based on complementarity and synergies between the three territories.

In 2024, the Euroregion will continue to build on the success achieved in its six strategic sectors: health, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, renewable energies, sustainable construction and creative and cultural industries. This will be achieved by fostering cross-border collaboration, promoting technological innovation and adopting sustainable practices.

Since its inception in 2015, the Euroregional Innovation call for projects has provided support to 51 initiatives, amounting to a total investment of €4.1 million. In 2023, seven of the 22 projects submitted by trilateral consortia from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Basque Country and Navarre received funding.

A WEBINAR TO FIND OUT MORE

The Euroregion will be holding a webinar on 10 September 2024 to present the call for proposals and encourage exchanges with project partners. Pre-registration is required. Arola Urdangarin has announced that “the webinar will include a section for questions and answers. Project managers are encouraged to participate and to contact the technical team to present their projects or ideas.”

To assist project preparation and management, a guide for promoters is available for reference. This guide offers practical advice for each stage of the process, from initial application to project closure. It has been designed with the intention of making it an accessible and straightforward read, with a focus on providing practical guidance.
