
Indi&Cold of San Sebastian is awarded with the National Commerce Award
The fashion company Indi&Cold, located in San Sebastian, has been distinguished with the National Commerce Award in the outstanding category of Small Commerce. This recognition has been awarded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise of the Government of Spain in recognition of its excellence and significant contribution to the commercial sector.
Founded in 2012 by brothers Diego and Gonzalo Santaolalla, Indi&Cold has successfully managed to stand out in the market, expanding its presence with twenty stores throughout Spain and products available in more than 750 stores around the world. The brand has been praised for its commitment to sustainable fashion and its recognized style.
Under the creative direction of Cristina Villar, Indi&Cold has demonstrated an innovative approach and an unwavering dedication to quality and innovation. The company, which currently employs over one hundred people, has been noted not only for its commercial success but also for its role in creating and sustaining jobs, as well as its continuous pursuit of excellence.
Honorable Mentions were also awarded to Calzados Tello and Garrarte Dulces Artesanos, both stores in San Sebastian.
In addition, the City Council of Bilbao received an honorary runner-up prize in the category of National Award to City Councils, which reinforces the importance of coordinated actions between different administrations.
In addition to these awards, three of the award-winning companies were also recognized in the Euskadi Awards 2023 granted by the Department of Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Basque Government. Indi&Cold was awarded the Euskadi Prize for Basque Commercial Company with more than 10 employees. This award highlighted the company's commitment to quality, innovation, customer service and its contribution to sustainable growth. The Euskadi Award for Professional Trajectory was given to Calzados Tello, a historic Donostia company in recognition of its more than 120 years of existence and four generations working for the Donostia commerce. Garrarte Donostia also received a special mention for its professional career and outstanding contribution to the sector.
These awards underline the commitment and excellence of local commerce in the Basque Country, recognized both locally and nationally.
