President Urkullu, accompanied by the entire delegation of the Basque Government that has travelled to Japan, inaugurated the Basque Week installations and welcomed the people who came early in the morning. Throughout the morning, the President attended the first gastronomic workshop of the day. 12 people learned how to make “gildas” (tapas) and tasted txakoli (sparkling wine). The Txalaparta workshop also attracted a large number of participants and the exhibition of herri kirolak (Basque rural sports) aroused the interest of all passers-by.
