Erkoreka and Garamendi attend the reception of the National Day of the French Republic held at the French Institute of Bilbao

The First Vice-Lehendakari and Minister for Security, Josu Erkoreka, and the Minister for Public Governance and Self-Government, Olatz Garamendi, was invited by the Consul General of France in Bilbao, Yann Battefort, to attend the reception held at the French Institute of Bilbao on the occasion of the National Festival of the French Republic at noon today.

The relationship between the French and Basque country, in recent months, has been marked, among other things, by the celebration of the start of the 110th Tour de France in the Basque Country. Ertzaintza, the Gendarmerie and the French National Police collaborated on 1, 2 and 3 July, together with the rest of the Basque institutions dedicated to public safety, in the development of a macro-safety operation that accompanied the race through the Basque road network to guarantee the safety of cyclists and people who wanted to enjoy this show.
