The Minister of Equality, Justice and Social Policies of the Basque Government, Mrs. Nerea Melgosa, has participated this afternoon in the award ceremony of the Cope Vitoria Radio Station dedicated to people and companies that have distinguished themselves throughout the year for their contribution to the development of Araba-Álava. Mrs Nerea Melgosa has highlighted "the work of the radio station in the information and entertainment tasks in the Araba news dial".
The event held at the Artium Museum of Contemporary Art, in the Basque capital, and presented by the journalists Elisa López and Roberto Arrillaga. Javier Castro, general director of COPE radio stations and Javier Tutor, director of the group in the Basque Country, have given the distinction to the JEIKI FOUNDATION represented by Jesús Gutiérrez.
The award dedicated to sports work: for Maite Ortiz de Mendibil Jai Alai player; other awards for Mantecados Felipe II; Azala; Victofer and for I+MED.
At the end of the act, the APDEMA group performed at the hands of Mrs Arantza Cordero. Present at the event were Mayor Gorka Urtaran, Deputy General Ramiro González, Ion Urresti, Jorge Ibarrondo, Begoña Sopelana, Cope's commercial director, Marta Salazar, David González and Alicia Calleja, members of the radio station.
