The Basque Country joins the OECD programme that evaluates the implementation of public policies for the promotion and implementation of the 2030 Agenda
A delegation from the Basque Government made up of Jonan Fernandez (Secretary General for Social Transition and Agenda 2030), Arantza Lopez de Munain (Basque Government Delegate in Paris) and Asier Aranbarri (Director of Social Innovation) is in Paris today to finalise the details of the Basque Country’s accession to the OECD programme for the localisation of the SDGs and Global Development Agendas in cities and regions.
The programme assesses the implementation of public policies for the promotion and implementation of the 2030 Agenda. A comparative process is also carried out with different regions of interest, measuring their position against the OECD average and those regions.
The programme concludes with a Summary Report, which includes a comprehensive analytical framework to enhance a territorial approach to the SDGs. It is expected to last approximately one year and will conclude with the delivery of the Summary Report by the OECD to the Basque Government.
