This afternoon, the Minister of Equality, Justice and Social Policies of the Basque Government, Mrs. Nerea Melgosa, congratulated the director of "A&B Biotechnology Laboratories" Mrs. Patricia Gutiérrez, who, accompanied by Mr. Ion Kepa Izagirre, received the Arizmendiarreta-Anitua Award for her participation strategy of its human team in the company's management processes.
The Award recognizes companies, whether in the service or industrial sector, that have stood out for the application of the management values and practices recommended in the Inclusive Participatory Business Model (MIPE); business model based on cooperation, in which workers are part of the company's decisions through dialogue and participation.
The gala, presented by Mrs. Susana Marqués, took place at the Egibide-Molinuevo headquarters, in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Subsequently, a Round Table on Business Ethics was held with the interventions of Mrs. María Unceta-Barrenechea, businesswoman and researcher, founder of "Laboratorios María D'uol"; Mr. Tomás Arrieta, president of the Labour Relations Council and Mrs. Cecilia Martínez Arellano, member of the Center for Applied Ethics of the Deusto University.
A&B has received numerous distinctions, among others with the European Prize for the Environment. In addition to Minister Nerea Melgosa, the mayor Mr. Gorka Urtaran, the Deputy General of Araba, Mr. Ramiro González, Bishop Mr. Juan Carlos Elizalde, Mrs. Yolanda Berasategi and Mr. Juan Manuel Sinde attended today's event.
