The Lehendakari advocates a new concept of business as a “common project”

The Lehendakari has advocated a new culture of work and organisation and a new concept of business “understood as a common project”. Accompanied by the Minister for Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment, Arantxa Tapia, Iñigo Urkullu took part in the inauguration this morning in Donostia of FABRIKA, the High Performance Centre for the Cultural Transformation of Companies, which has been promoted by ADEGI.

In his speech, the Lehendakari thanked those responsible for setting up this “pioneering centre in the world” that promotes transformation from within with the aim of “advancing towards a better company and society”.

He also indicated that the new centre is starting out “on fertile ground” because innovation, risk, training and cooperation “form part of our company culture” and, in this respect, he pointed out that the Basque Country has the experience, track record and instruments to continue promoting this culture of transformation. As an example of this, he mentioned Dual Training; the “University plus company” project; support programmes for small and medium-sized enterprises; investment in innovation; and the promotion of entrepreneurship.

At another point in his speech, Iñigo Urkullu ratified the will to continue working together to improve competitiveness, bring training and business closer together, generate higher quality employment opportunities and continue building a more advanced and fairer society.

“The Government and the Basque institutions are going to contribute to making these objectives a reality. We will do so by applying the same ideology as Fabrika: trust, participation, teamwork and collaboration,” he concluded.
