The Official Gazette of the Basque Country will publish, on Friday, December 31, the order of the Department of Equality, Justice and Social Policies that summons and regulates the registration and participation in Euskadiko Gazteak Lankidetzan or Basque Cooperative Youth for the summer of 2022.

Organized by the Youth Directorate of the Department of Equality, Justice and Social Policies of the Basque Government, the program aims to sensitize young people on development cooperation and solidarity. The NGDOs will have until February 4 to present their projects. A decision will be made on its suitability in mid-February.

Regarding the selection of young people, the registration period will end on February 15. The pre-selection phase will take place between February and March. Young people will be selected depending on their curriculum vitae (studies, work experience, courses, concerns,) and the projects presented by the NGDOs.

“The selection phase will take place, as usual, in the Alava shelter in Barria, expected to take place between March 11 and 13. A maximum of 200 young people will go to Barria during that weekend. The selection committee, made up of representatives of eLankidetza, Youth and ONGD will choose a maximum of 100 people who will attend the projects in the countries of the southern hemisphere ”explains Agurtzane Llano, director of Youth of the Basque Government.
