The Basque Country “reinvents itself” at Ferroforma-Bricoforma
Ferroforma-Bricoforma opened its doors today at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (Barakaldo) and will remain open until 26 March
Five hundred and sixty-seven exhibiting companies from 29 different countries are present at the new-look International Hardware and DIY Trade Fair, the must-attend event that has a new focus more in tune with the needs of the sector.
Today Ferroforma-Bricoforma, the International Hardware and DIY Trade Fair, opened its doors to visitors and leading national and international exhibitors in the industry. This year's edition of the fair will combine a number of different formats, including talks, roundtables, case-study analyses, demonstrations, competitions and discussions; a program that has been designed to strengthen the participative aspect of the event and make it more dynamic.
This eleventh edition of the fair was opened by the Minister for Industry, Innovation, Trade and Tourism, Bernabé Unda. It is taking place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Barakaldo (Biscay) and will stay open to the public until 26 March.
Foreign participation in the fair this year has reached 51%, a significant figure in terms of meeting the objectives regarding internationalisation in the Competitiveness Plan. The presence of countries such as Germany, Japan, Sweden and the United States makes Ferroforma-Bricoforma an important platform for the promotion of internationalisation.
"This is the Basque Country: we know how to combine traditional events such as Ferroforma-Bricoforma with more innovative activities", commented the minister. The program of events is designed to inform those attending about the latest technological developments in the sector and to make the fair a "key meeting point for leading national and international companies in the industry".
