Tapia heads the meeting on renewable energy and Smart Grids at the DOE

The Basque Government’s Minister for Economic Development and Competitiveness, Arantxa Tapia, headed the “RENEWABLE ENERGY & SMART GRIDS SECTORAL MEETING” held at the DOE (Department of Energy) in Washington with the Deputy Assistant Secretary, Roland Risser. 

A large number of people representing Basque institutions and business (Ibedrola, Gamesa, Tubos Reunidos, Lointek, Arteche, Ormazabal, Velatia, Ingeteam, Energy cluster) took part in the meeting.  They had the opportunity to learn about the characteristics and future challenges of the energy sector in the USA and to establish different areas of cooperation with Basque companies.
