The Basque freight transport and logistics sector will be at the “Breakbulk Europe” fair in Antwerp

2015 May 14

Grouped under the Basque Country Logistics  brand, the range of  Basque Country transport and logistics infrastructures will be showcased next week, from the 19th to 21st, at the “Breakbulk Europe” trade fair in the Belgian town of Antwerp.  The fair is known for featuring special transport.

The Basque Country Logistics stand will provide information on the services of the ports of Bilbao, Bermeo and Pasajes, with the port community being broadly represented by Uniport Bilbao, along with several Basque firms specialising in bulk manufacturing and transport.

“We see it at each international meeting of this type,” explained the Basque Government's Deputy Minister for Transport, Antonio Aiz. “Luckily, as we saw at the sector's largest European event held in Munich, the markets are recovering and transport is its best indicator. We have to take advantage of our geographical position in the Atlantic corridor and offer the stress the value of our multimodality and infrastructures for imports-exports and transport. The Basque Country has a great and positive task ahead in this sector and we must seize this opportunity”.

Alongside the port information, the Basque Country Logistics stand in Antwerp will offer contacts with the Basque Chambers of Commerce, Logistics Platforms and a wide range of companies and organisations related to the sector.
