Industry, investment, innovation and internationalisation, the foundations of the future Basque economic strategy
The spokesperson for the Basque Government, Josu Erkoreka, has announced that the Basque Government is already working on developing "a forward looking" economic strategy to address "the new times" facing Basque society. Erkoreka has thus announced that this strategy is based on commitment to industry, investment, innovation and internationalisation.
Petronor has opened the Fuel oil Reduction Unit (URF) this morning. The setting up of the URF has involved an investment of 1,066 million euros and guarantees the continuity of the company. The Basque Government's spokesperson, Josu Erkoreka, its Minister for Development and Competitiveness, Arantza Tapia, and its Minister for the Environment and Territorial Policy, Ana Oregia, were the Basque Government representatives at this ceremony that was presided by the Prince of Asturias.
During his speech, Josu Erkoreka stressed the importance of this Petronor investment in Muskiz as, according to the spokesperson, it is an "show of confidence" capable of generating expectations and "they led to investments that make growth possible", he added.
