The Basque Government’s Department of Welfare, Youth and the Demographic Challenge today celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Euskadiko Gazteak Lankidetzan / Basque Youth in Cooperation programme in Etxekobe, Bilbao. Since 1993, this initiative has been connecting young people from the Basque Country with development cooperation projects in countries in the Americas, Africa and Asia. The meeting was centred on a key theme: “Think, have your say, enjoy”. The day combined remembrance, collective reflection and celebration, featuring a participatory World Café session, a presentation of conclusions, a meal, a magic show and a final DJ session to close.
