A delegation led by Deputy Minister for Health and Digital Transformation Gontzal Tamayo visits Europe's premier cancer centre to adapt best practice for the Basque Health Service. “The Karolinska experience demonstrates the route to a more integrated evidence based system focused on patient value.” The Basque Country is one of ten advanced regions selected by the EU to deliver comprehensive cancer infrastructure. A delegation from the Basque Government Department of Health Osakidetza (Basque Health Service) and Research and Development units led by Deputy Minister Gontzal Tamayo visited the Karolinska Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Stockholm this week recognised as a European leader in the field. The visit aimed to analyse the model to drive implementation in the Basque Country.
