What we do

It is tasked with overseeing non-university and university education, together with research. It combines the regulation of private and public education, as well as of the direct grant system with private centres. It is also in charge of the strategic planning, design and guidelines for vocational training overall.

The Basque Government and Basque entities positioned in the European agenda and the annual discussion forum of the European regions
In its 16th year of participating in the European Week of Regions and Cities/EWRC2020, the Basque Country was praised by the President of the European Commission in her opening speech during the plenary session of the Committee of the Regions. Different representatives of the Basque Government, along with public entities and institutions, took part in the online forums during EWRC2020.
