What we do

Our functions and policy areas are as follows: relations with the Parliament and the Ararteko (Ombudsman of the Basque Country), autonomous development policy and coordination, the Official Gazette of the Basque Country, the civil service, legal defence of the Basque Statute of Autonomy, design of the Basque Public Governance application model, corporate telecommunications and information systems and the publishing activity of the Government, and many other functions arising from the management of the administrative, judicial and legal activity of the Executive Branch.

The official trip of the Minister for Public Governance and Self-Government is part of the Basque Government's internationalisation agenda The Basque Government's Minister of Public Governance and Self-Government, Olatz Garamendi, will travel to Chile next weekend on an official visit within the framework of the Basque Government's internationalisation agenda. She aims to intensify relations between the Basque Country and the South American country and promote the Basque Country.
